Color和Colour的区别是什么?
这两个词的意思相同，它们的拼写是源于不同国家的书写习惯。
Coloe用于美国。
Colour适用于其他英语国家，包括英国、澳大利亚、新西兰等国。
The more common colours in English are: black, brown, geay/grey, white, yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, green.
英语种常见的颜色有：黑色、棕色、灰色、白色、黄色、橙色、红色、粉红色、紫色、蓝色、绿色。
Gray和Grey的区别是什么?
The same as with the difference between color and colour, it depends on the country.
这两个词的区别跟color 和 colour一样，用于不同国家。
The word Gray is used in United States.
Gray用于美国。
The word Grey is used in the rest of the English-speaking countries (England, Australia, NZ etc.)
Grey用于其他英语国家，包括英国、澳大利亚、新西兰等国。
Word order with colours 颜色词的顺序：
在一句话中用颜色词描述某事有3种方式：
1. To Be + Colour. e.g. My car is blue.
To Be + 颜色.例如：我的车是蓝色的。
2. Colour + Noun. e.g. The blue car is mine.
Colour + Noun. 例如：这个蓝色的车是我的。
3. Colour is the Noun. e.g. Blue is the colour of my car.
Colour is the Noun.例如：蓝色是我的车的颜色。
Did you know that, because colours give us more information about a person or a thing, they are adjectives in English?
颜色可以向我们提供更多有关一个人或一件事的信息， 因此这些颜色词在英语中是形容词。
Light - Dark - Bright
浅色、深色、亮色
Light is the opposite of Dark.
Light的反义词是Dark.
Bright: a strong colour that is easy to see.
亮色：一种很容易看见的颜色。
• Helen has dark green eyes. Helen有深绿色的眼睛。
• His light grey hair made him look very distinguished. 他浅灰色的头发让他看起来很与众不同。
The words Light, Dark and Bright are placed before the colour. Light, Dark 和 Bright这3个词通常放在颜色词之前。
Colours + ISH
If you are not exactly sure how to describe a colour, we normally use the suffix -ish.
如果你不知道怎样描述一个颜色，可以在颜色词后加后缀：-ish。
e.g. Greenish (= approximately green but not exactly green)
• The sunset is a beautiful pinkish-purplish colour today. 今天的夕阳粉色中又带点紫色。
• His shirt is lightish blue in colour. 他的衬衫是浅蓝色的。

Red: Strawberry, Rose, Fire engine, Blood, Heart 红色：草莓，玫瑰，消防车，血液，心脏
Orange: Pumpkin, Carrot, Basketball 橙色：南瓜，胡萝卜，篮球
Yellow: Cheese, Sun, Butter, Lemon 黄色：奶酪，太阳，黄油，柠檬
Green: Grass, Lettuce, Frog, Leaf, Lizard 绿色：青草，生菜，青蛙，树叶，蜥蜴
Blue: Sky, Ocean, Blueberry, Whale 蓝色：天空，海洋，蓝莓，鲸鱼
Black: Bat, Night, Tire (tyre), Fly 黑色：蝙蝠，夜晚，轮胎，苍蝇
White: Paper, Sugar, Milk, Snow, Sheep 白色：纸，糖，牛奶，雪，羊
Pink: Pig, Tongue, Cotton candy (Candy floss) 粉色：猪，舌头，棉花糖
Brown: Wood, Cigar, Earth, Horse 棕色：木头，雪茄，土地，马
Grey / Gray: Rock,Dust, Mouse, Elephant 灰色：石头，粉尘，老鼠，大象
Purple: Bruise, Grapes 紫色：擦伤，葡萄
